AQUILA is a member of the VPK Group, which brings together producers of corrugated board and cardboard packaging from across Europe. The VPK Group boasts a heritage dating back to 1935.
The history of AQUILA in Poland began in 2005.
2005
Opening of the Factory in Września
The origins of AQUILA date back to 2005. That year, we registered the company and adapted the buildings at 6A Objazdowa Street in Września into our first factory. In mid‑December 2005, the first bundle of corrugated board left the production line. Our product and brand quickly gained the trust of a growing number of customers in Poland and abroad.
2009
Opening of the Factory in Radomsko
It quickly became clear that our factory in Września could no longer meet the growing demands of the market on its own. That is why, in 2009, we made the decision to build another factory — this time in Radomsko, in the Łódź region. The facility was constructed from the ground up, drawing on the experience we had gained in Września.
2015
Construction of the Aquila Brzeg Plant
Construction of another AQUILA plant — this time in the south of Poland, in Skarbimierz near Brzeg. This expansion enabled us to strengthen cooperation with our partners across the southern border. The Radomsko factory — proven and efficient — served as the model for designing this new facility. We continue to invest in the development of our laboratories, equipping them with increasingly advanced machines to oversee product quality. The laboratory in Września obtained the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) Certificate, making it an official facility where anyone can have their samples tested.
2025
Investment in the Września Plant
We built a new production and warehouse hall equipped with a new corrugator capable of handling three different customer orders simultaneously. The corrugator’s speed reaches 420 m per minute, giving us the capacity to produce up to 20 million m² of corrugated board per month. We are celebrating 20 years of AQUILA in Poland.
